Rustic kitchen island with hemlock plank top and matching stools

This island was built for a fund-raiser at my children's school. The top planks (for both the island and stools) are hemlock and the entire set is made from reclaimed materials (except the locking castors). The base of the island is painted solid white and the top is stained with dark walnut and protected with multiple coats of hand-rubbed polyurathane then covered with natural furniture wax. Note the antique hook as well as the built in cookbook holder and 2 shelves for added storage!
