An amazing kitchen island that will be the focal point of any home. This rustic piece of furniture is unmatched in materials, construction and heritage.
The 3x10” fir planks were milled recently from a single post retrieved from a farm in Ladner (pulled from a well years ago) - the tight rings on the end speak to the old growth of the original tree. The reclaimed 4x4 fir posts and slats were located at a marina in Ladner and the entire island was built with the understanding that family and friends would be gathering around it (and using it!) for hours.
Other features include: antique towel hook, 4 white hooks under the right side, cookbook holder under the left side, iron footrest below the bar.
The planks have been coloured with a dark walnut stain and then protected with multiple coats of hand rubbed wipe-on polyurathane.
The dimensions are as follows:
- floor to table top = 36”
- floor to bar top = 43 ¾”
